Intro

Living in a place full of tons of transgender people living in community is one of my greatest joys in life. I think every trans person should have that opportunity, and the opportunity to live their lives with full access to supportive resources and free from persecution.

This guide is created to give clear direction and guidance to those relocating to and living in Washington, including those fleeing red states looking for a more welcoming home with better legal and societal protections for trans people. This tries to answer common questions and connect folks to resources and advice; in addition to the information in this guide, we are connected with a network of peer navigators to work with folks directly and help them relocate and find their footing here.

Many of these sections link to outside resources; where possible, these resources have been linked directly, so that they will be regularly updated by their sources. However, we have also worked to ensure that all of them are archived at the Internet Archive – so if any page linked here is broken, please copy the URL and enter it at https://web.archive.org/ and it should provide you with an archived version of the page.
