#### Don’t have a permanent address yet? Get a permanent WA mailing address at the Compass Center in Pioneer Square so you can apply for benefits. M-F, 9-4.

#### Apply for food stamps online (SNAP/EBT)
- [ ] **Follow-up phone call to 877-501-2233.** **You should call at 8am sharp** M-F to minimize hold time or as early as possible. They’re open until 2pm. **This is required to get benefits.**- [ ] You can alternatively go in in-person; [Central Seattle location](https://www.dshs.wa.gov/node/30091) 8-2 or [find your local office](%20https://www.dshs.wa.gov/office-locations).
- Food is the biggest expense aside from rent and we have limited support. Please do this ASAP.
- When it gives you the network option, I would choose Molina. CC is also OK.
- #### Find a primary care doctor for HRT.
- Seattle Roots is great + takes Medicaid and does full spectrum care. Call:
- Country Doctor (east Capitol Hill) @ 206-299-1600, and/or
- [ ] Carolyn Downs Clinic (east of Chinatown) at 206-299-1900. - Alternatively, you can book online with UW if you have Molina/CC.
- If you don’t want primary care, you can also get HRT prescribed from the LGBTQ Center.
- Country Doctor (east Capitol Hill) @ 206-299-1600, and/or
- #### Find employment!
- Talk with us about this! We may have leads or advice. The market’s tough; most folks successfully relocate by broadening their search to find whatever they can to get stable here, and switching to something they prefer later. We can help with that too!
- Roommate situations are usually the easiest + most affordable. More info about finding these. aptfinder.org can also help with finding low-income housing.
- Applying to Section 8 / HCV as soon as you arrive is great in case you get lucky! More info

#### Find a therapist
- [ ] [Sound Mental Health](https://www.sound.health/contact) is a big clinic with lots of services that takes Medicaid.- [ ] You can also use [Psychology Today](https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/therapists/wa/seattle?category=molina) to find specific therapists – email a bunch of them.- [ ] [Seattle Roots](https://seattleroots.org/behavioral-health/) also takes Medicaid \+ has an objective-based help program. -
